The Wainwright Shelter

Animal Rescue Cumbria

If you would like to become involved in fundraising for us, please contact us for details, see contact page.

We rely on donations, legacies and fundraising, but the main income source is from an endowment set up by A.W. to guarantee the future of the charity.

A small committee and members undertake fund-raising activities of all kinds to help meet the running costs of Kapellan.

The Trustees are a small group of mainly professional people who meet regularly to ensure that the charity is managed and administered efficiently and in such a way that its future remains secure.

Fryers Roses are naming a rose for A.W. in his centenary year which we hope to plant around the new cattery we are building at present.  It is just named "THE WAINWRIGHT ROSE" and an amount from each sale will be donated to ARC.

We are now taking orders for "The Wainwright Rose" at a cost of £9.95 including postage, cheque's should be made payable to Animal Rescue Cumbria and posted to us at Kapellan with delivery address for roses when ready in October/November. Note: Delivery will not be until the end of October or early November - orders taken after end of October will be dispatched within a week or so.

Description: A superb Hybrid Tea bush rose with large, elegant flowers of pale lemon, that are classically formed, lightly scented and carried both singly and several together on long stiff stems. The plant grows well, is vigorous with tough bright green foliage that has an excellent resistance to disease. Height 95cms x 90cms spread.

The rose will be launched either at the Hampton Court Flower Show in July or/and at the RHS Tatton Park Flower Show later in July and will feature in the new Fryers Roses catalogue - due out in June.
