After serving Animal Rescue Cumbria for 3 years as a trustee, the opportunity arose to become more involved as Interim General Manager

I first joined Animal Rescue in 1986 and had the pleasure of working for Alfred and Betty Wainwright and for John and Dorothy Estensen.

I have always loved animals and have worked within the charity sector for several years. I am excited to continue to help animals in my capacity as a fundraiser

I joined the team in February 2021, after moving back to Cumbria to be closer to family. I have worked in charity finance for nearly ten years with a range of different organisations

Opening a Pet Charity Shop for Animal Rescue Cumbria has been a long-term ambition.  Every purchase at Pre-loved for Pets generates a donation to help

I joined Animal Rescue Cumbria initially to complete my work placement for a Canine Behaviour and Training degree in 2014.

I started at Animal Rescue Cumbria as a volunteer in 2016 for my college course placement. I came to the shelter one day a week for 2 years.

I joined Animal Rescue initially as a volunteer for my Duke of Edinburgh Award. I then started to volunteer after school one night a week.

I’ve had a passion for animals since a young age being raised on the family farm. I started volunteering at Animal Rescue Cumbria in 2018

I started volunteering at Animal Rescue Cumbria in January 2014 with my partner Jason. We wanted a change from the stress of everyday life
