As an experienced finance and business manager with particular expertise in non-profit finance and governance, I hope to be able to bring a useful contribution to the board of Animal Rescue Cumbria. I held the post of General Manager for the charity between 2016 and 2019 and am delighted to be a part of this amazing staff and volunteer team once again!

I currently work as a Partner in Counterculture Partnership, providing interim finance director level support for a number of charities as well as undertaking strategic project-based work. I enjoy the variation of wearing different hats and have the pleasure of meeting and working with some remarkable people.

I have a great deal of warmth and appreciation for the work of Animal Rescue Cumbria and, of course, I love animals. Brought up on farms in the Yorkshire Dales and then the Cumbrian Fells, I have spent a good deal of my life around animals. I am the owner of two small canine characters (both toy poodles) and a very large, very hairy cat whom I adopted from the shelter earlier this year. When I’m not working, I love walking, sailing or cycling with the dogs and my partner, growing veg or hitting the road in our camper van.
