POWER

About Me:

Appointment Booked

Age: 6 Years 7 Months

Breed: Lurcher

I could potentially live with a quiet cat-savvy dog.

I could live with another well matched dog if introductions went well.

I could live with secondary school age children.

I struggle with being alone so would like my family to be around most of the time.

I could live with children who know how to respect my space.

I'd love to explore outside once I've settled in.

I would love to have a secure garden.

More About Me:

Power

Meet Power, our gentle, people-loving Lurcher who is looking for his forever home!

Power walks nicely on the lead and enjoys getting out and about, but, as is often the case with Lurchers, he loves nothing more than a good snooze!

We believe Power has previously lived with other dogs, and he has been lovely when meeting dogs in our care. Because of this, we would be happy for Power to live with another dog, providing introductions go well. We think he would probably prefer a calm, like-minded dog rather than a bouncy puppy.

While we don’t have any history of Power living with children, he has such a gentle and affectionate nature that we don’t anticipate this being a problem. We think he would be happiest living with children who understand how to give him space when he needs it and can respect his boundaries, particularly when he is resting.

Power is incredibly food motivated and will do almost anything for a tasty treat! This makes him fantastic to train, although he can be a little cheeky and opportunistic when given the chance. But who doesn’t love a bit of mischief?

Power hasn’t had the easiest start in life, and because of this, he can struggle when left alone. He is looking for a family who are around for most of the day and who will include him in family life. With patience, reassurance and plenty of positive experiences, we hope Power can learn that he is finally safe and doesn’t need to worry about being left behind.

Power is a sweet, affectionate boy with so much love to give. If you’re looking for a gentle companion who enjoys adventures just as much as a cosy snooze, Power could be the boy for you!

What our staff have to say about Power:

Power is such an affectionate boy who has been through so much, and he truly deserves a family who will include him in everything and shower him with all the love he deserves. He is so much fun to work with and has the sweetest, cheekiest personality. He’s one of those dogs you always look forward to seeing in the morning, and he’ll always be there to greet you at the door with a wagging tail. Power really is a special boy, and we’d love nothing more than to see him find the wonderful forever home he deserves.
